THE BAKERY
There’s something special about a homemade treat! It’s even better when it starts right here at Mountain Orchards. All our butter tarts and pie kits are handcrafted with care using simple ingredients and no additives, preservatives, or artificial colours. Just honest baking the way it’s meant to be.
OUR FAMOUS BUTTER TARTS
Our butter tarts have built a bit of a following, and for good reason. Each one is made by hand in small batches, with that rich, gooey filling and our flaky, golden pastry.
Flavours include Plain, Raisin, Apple Butter (our signature!), Apple Chai, Pecan, and Maple Pecan.
This season, we’re offering two styles of pastry:
• Heritage Pastry: our traditional recipe made the old-fashioned way
• Modern Crust: just as flaky and delicious, with a vegetable-based alternative
Whichever you choose, you’re in for a real treat. Want to enjoy them later? Stock up from our freezer section in the Farm Store.
PIE KITS: A True Orchard Favourite
Our Mountain Orchards Pie Kits, made with our beloved heritage pastry, make it wonderfully easy to bake a warm, homemade pie right in your own kitchen.
Each kit includes our signature spice mix, top crust pastry (just roll it out!), and a QR Code with instructions for the perfect pie.
Just add freshly picked Mountain Orchards apples, and you’re on your way to a warm, comforting dessert with none of the fuss.
The Farm Store
Be sure to stop by our bakery where we serve our famous butter tarts in a variety of flavours, along with our easy-to-bake Pie Kits. All of our pastry is made from scratch an prepared by hand in our on-site kitchen.
We stay true to our tradition of using high-quality ingredients and focusing on real flavour. There are no additives, preservatives, or artificial colouring in anything we bake.
If you’d like to enjoy our treats at home, you’ll find a wide selection of frozen butter tarts in the Farm Store. We’ve even heard that some folks serve them as their own homemade creations. That’s fine by us! They really are that good.
BBQ (weekends only)
Sausages & Hot Dogs
When you’re ready for a break, stop by our BBQ for a simple and tasty lunch. We serve locally made mild Italian and Oktoberfest sausages, along with classic hot dogs, all grilled fresh and ready to enjoy.
You can round out your meal with a cold drink such as pop, juice, or cider, plus a bag of chips in a variety of flavours. For something sweet, we also offer frozen treats like ice cream and popsicles.
Take your lunch over to the picnic area where we have tables and umbrellas set up for a comfortable place to relax and enjoy the farm.
